This page details how we can submit sites to be featured on wordpress.org/showcase. The Special Projects Team regularly produces outstanding websites that can be considered showcases that are worthy of consideration.
A Special Projects Team-produced website should be submitted if it meets one or more of the following criteria:
- Studio 51 and/or Automattic’s Design Council have deemed it a showcase site.
- The site features a unique design that we feel should be highlighted.
- The website was produced for a high-profile individual or organization.
- We feel that it effectively demonstrates WordPress in a unique or innovative way.

Partner permission
As of ~Sep. 2024, we notify all partners of the potential their site will be shared in the showcase in our project briefs. If the partner agreed to the brief, there is no need to request further permission before submitting their site to the showcase.
If the partner pre-dates that version of the project brief or otherwise has not approved a project brief that mentions the showcase, we should explicitly ask for their permission. We can use the following predef:
Hi [PARTNER NAME],
We hope you are well.
The WordPress.org open-source Showcase aims to demonstrate to the world what can be done with WordPress and its tremendous capabilities as a publishing platform. We are proud to have worked with you to produce [INSERT WEBSITE URL] and would love to submit it for consideration to be featured.
The Showcase is a non-commercial website that celebrates WordPress’ creativity and versatility. It’s a directory of websites that we believe are not only aesthetically pleasing but also demonstrate WordPress’s flexibility. Submitting your site for consideration does not cost anything, and this remains true even if your site is selected.

Once permission has been granted, folks can submit sites for consideration here: https://wordpress.org/showcase/submit-a-wordpress-site
Sites can be submitted using our WordPress.org username and team email.
Example Submission
Typically, it is the folks on .org group for showcase submissions who create screenshots, but if we are creating screenshots to share, please ensure they are reviewed by a designer on Studio 51 first.

Once Submitted
Once you have submitted a partner’s website, please ensure the ███████████████ is updated. A note should also be added to the partner’s Zoho Partner entry’s notes field.
