When preparing for AFK (time off), TAMs take the following steps to ensure a smooth handoff and continued project support:
- Notify their team lead as early as possible about their upcoming AFK.
- Add their AFK dates to the team calendar as soon as they are known, so others can plan accordingly.
- Arrange project coverage, either by coordinating with their pair TAMs or by reaching out to their lead for assistance.
- Prefix their Zendesk username with
000(zero zero zero) to alert the support team, and reassign any active Zendesk threads if necessary to avoid delays in partner communication. - Write AFK notes, clearly outlining what needs to move forward during their absence. They tag their pair TAMs or team lead on the notes to ensure proper visibility and handoff for specific projects. These AFK notes are published on our primary team P2.
