Steps
- Start a new post or open an existing post for editing.
- Select the images from your local filesystem.
- Drag the images onto the post edit window
BUT DO NOT RELEASE and drop them until you see a thin blue line appear. Aim for just below the post title and the first block on the page[as of 2020-10-29 the editor has been updated and no longer requires this precision when drag-and-dropping]. When done correctly, the post editor will upload the images into a gallery block. - Wait for the upload to complete.
- Select the gallery block and transform the block type to an image block.
- The images should now all be in their own distinct image blocks.
